Hi and welcome to my site. My name is Amber. I’m a yoga instructor and fitness coach and I’m the new owner and operator of KickStand Fitness! I’m so excited to share with you the things that I’ve learned personally about fitness. Three and a half years ago I was overweight, out of shape, and feeling like that would never change. Happily I was able to find the motivation and the hope that I could be fit. From there I created a weight loss plan, individually suited to me, that I was able to stick to. Since then I have lost 65 pounds and been able to maintain my weight-loss the entire time.

During a particularly stressful time after my weight loss I found yoga– or should I say it found me. A friend at work asked if she could practice teaching me yoga to complete her teacher training and from the first cat/cow stretches I was hooked. I was impressed by how much practicing yoga helped me not only to tone my body, but to find a lot of the real peace that I had been looking for. Working on challenging poses and eventually being able to achieve them has empowered me and given me much needed confidence that I use on and off the mat. And I’m still learning! Don’t expect me to be able to do the splits anytime soon, but I can do a mean handstand. Now everywhere I go I can’t help but talk about yoga and teach anyone who will listen even if just for a few minutes!

And as a weight management/fitness coach, I’m here to offer you support and guidance taken from my experience and the resources I’ve used. Weight-loss requires a lot of encouragement and support and I will be there to help you every step of the way to help you meet your weight-loss goals and to build a program that works specifically for you.
